Moving!

Well now that most people already know about it, I thought I would post it on my blog. Nicole, the puppies and I are moving to Webster City, IA. Nicole has accepted a teaching position at Webster City High, teaching the choir. This is pretty exciting for Nicole because it is a 3A school and will give her a chance to work with a potentionally great choir. After juggling a few offers, I have settled on staying with my current company and working from home in Webster City. This was a pretty tuff decision mostly because I was unsure if I would like working from home. But in the end I decided that working in my pajamas was worth the risk. So we are trying to get the house ready to sell. We spent last weekend resanding and finishing some of our floors. So there are more before and after pics coming. Enjoy!

Poopy Puppies…

So, this evening we decided to POOP all over the dining room floor. We actually pooped on a green blanket thingy that was hanging out on the floor, it made us think of grass and we just couldn’t hold it anymore, ya know? We don’t really understand why it’s such a big deal. We live outside and poop, our owners live inside and poop, so doesn’t it make sense that when we live inside we should poop too? Anyway, Nicole got kind of mad and we felt bad ’cause we think it might be our fault. She looks pretty funny when she gets mad (hehe!). Then they put us outside and we played lots and lots and pooped some more. Isn’t life good?

Love, the Puppies :)

House Updates Part 1.1

We bought a house back in May and have been working on it ever since. Just recently we have done some bigger projects. The biggest of these changes was upgrading the electrical service in the house. This happened mostly because one day I came home and blew a fuse. I then replaced the fuse, but the lights didn’t come on. So, I tightened the fuse a little more. The lights came on, but I could hear a funny noise. So, I unscrewed the fuse…but the lights stayed on and I could see electricity arching around inside of the fuse socket. So, I shut off the main circuit. I then did some rewiring to get the important things working in the house, until we could replace the entire panel. That project is now done, but I still need to take some after pics, so I thought you might enjoy the before pictures. I’ll get the after pics up soon.

Facebook - Smarter then your average bear…or social networking site.

I have a facebook page that I started during my senior year at UNI. I hadn’t updated it much in the last few years (imagine that). But the other day I noticed I had some new friend requests, and I was interested to see what was new. So, I started to look around and I found a feature that’s pretty cool. Under the comments section of my profile, I could select an RSS feed to setup for importing. Since I have a blog that create RSS output, I thought I would give it a try. To my amazement, all my posts were suddenly imported as comments and looked very well formatted. The nice thing about this is that I don’t have to try to get people from facebook to look at my blog, and people who don’t have facebook can still read anything I post. I’m sure most people don’t have a clue as to what I’m talking about. If you are reading this on facebook check this out here. For those of you who are reading this on my blog, facebook is a social networking site like myspace, but it is a little more geared toward the college crowd. You previously had to have a University email address to join, but I think they have branched out to let anyone join. Take a look and let me know what you think.
