Dell Outlet
Nicole and I decided that it was time to invest in a new laptop. I was quite opposed to the idea since I hate computers and technology, but she decided that we had to get one. Some time ago her laptop screen died, and we haven’t replaced it yet. So, I’ve been doing a lot of research and decided that I want the Dell Studio 15. It has a nice design and some really slick features. Check it out at Dell here or a review here! Anyway, the price on the barebones model is $599. On the 16th there was a President’s Day Sale where the $899 model was priced at $649. I pretty interested, but I was doing some last minute research when I stumbled across a mention of the Dell Outlet.
From what I read, Dell sells at a discount, equipment that was returned in the first 30 days, and computers build before their orders were canceled. Needless to say I was interested, especially when most of the comments I could find said that the equipment they received looked brand new. So, I looked for Studio 15 laptops on the site and found several. The main factor to be aware of with the Outlet site is that items only stay in your cart for 15 minutes. Due to this, good deals disappear fast. So, if like me, you want to take 3 hours to think about it before buying, you’ll lose out on that particular item. I looked for a few days at the different configurations that came up to see what all my options might be. When a deal came by that looked like a good fit for me, I jumped on it! I had also found a coupon for %15 off Outlet Studio laptops.
So, I ended up paying $585 (plus taxes and shipping) for a Studio with upgraded graphics, memory, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader and a Bluray Player. The laptop should arrive either Friday or Monday, so I’ll have to update you with the condition at that point. But right now, I would recommend anyone who’s looking at buying a Dell to check out the Outlet Store here.
